Treats Trailer

August 8th Update: We did it! On August 3rd, we purchased the most perfect trailer! We ended up having to pull money out of our savings account because the businesses couldn’t cover the cost with all the extra fees. So we are still looking at raising that remaining $1,500 and THEN we can start saving for the renovations. We are still hopeful that we can get the trailer funded and up and running by November of this year. Click here to read more and see pictures.

June 3rd Update: We made it to the next milestone! We have sold a few items in our home and we were able to make some adjustments in our budget for the month of May. On top of these things and the previous Cake Pop Drop, we are here! We both suspect our progress to slow during the month of June as we have larger expenses and less open availability in the business.

May 25th Update: We have just hit the $3,500 mark! We have been finding any and every way to cut back within our home and baking in every spare minute I have.

Original Post: Though the name of the trailer is a working title, the second big dream is coming to this little business.

Early Spring of 2023, I began doing research on purchasing and refurbishing a camper or trailer to create a treats mobile. In May of 2023, I presented my husband with my idea and plan. After a few chats and some independent research, we decided to go forward with this dream!

Now, we are in the depths of saving and selling. Though we have the money to purchase now, we made the decision to save for this purchase starting RIGHT NOW. We didn’t want to drain the business fund nor dip into our savings. So we got to our computers, adjusted our monthly budget, and I got into the kitchen and have been baking and planning like crazy!

There has and will be a big uptick in drop sales and extras to help bring this plan to life. And we are on a tight timeline as we are wanting to purchase before we leave Las Vegas. Our goal is to save and purchase by August/September of 2023.

As of now, we plan of working with my dad and brother to create the blueprint, purchase, build, and create the trailer of my dreams. And the idea of doing this with these two makes my heart so incredibly happy! These two are two of the hardest working and well rounded Mr. Fix It’s in all the lands. From building homes, building cars, building furniture, owning a small business, and so much more, there is nothing these two haven’t done. Though this will be a new type of build for them, with our powers combined, we know we can accomplish it as a team.
