When planning an event, it is important to not only know how many servings you will receive from your cake, but also how to slice and serve appropriately.
Each of my cakes, minus my smallest smash cake, come standard as a 3 layers. If you request to add an additional layer and make it a “double barrel”, you will be able to easily double the number of servings with slightly smaller slices.
When cutting your cake, it is best to slice into a cold, straight from the fridge cake. This will help keep your cake layers and buttercream firm as you slice and serve to your guests. For an even cleaner cut, slice with a warm/hot, sharp knife.
When you place a cake order with me, a copy of the cutting guide as well as a care card (scroll to the bottom to see a digital copy) are printed and provided for you at pickup.
See the below chart to help guide you in not only selecting the correct 3 layer cake size, but also how to properly serve.
